We love Sunset at Calis Beach …
We love Calis Beach and sunsets. We’ve been going there for the last seven years and feel like we are in our second home as the locals are so friendly and put themselves out of their way to help.
The area is flat which is ideal for elderly people and partly disabled, who uses a wheelchair. There are plenty of restaurants on the promenade and it’s the place to be on an evening mingling with the crowds as they stroll along.
A great holiday resort for couples and young families.
The sunsets are amazing. There is a water taxi which takes you to Fethiye if you want to shop or enjoy a more exciting evening.
Calis Beach Fethiye Turkey (in Turkish “chalish” & pronounced “Chalish”, is a quiet yet busy holiday resort, with a seemingly endless beach. Bars and restaurants line the beach area, which is block paved along the seafront. The resort is very flat, so is ideal for people with mobility restrictions. Calis has it’s own waterpark too.
Parts of the Calis Beach are also popular with the local turtle population, who come in to lay their eggs in the sand. Read a short article about the turtles here: Sea Turtle Project
Calis Beach is also has two very natural attractions – a cooling breeze, perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer months, and you can see what the other one is – Calis is famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the World.
